BODI DISTRICT OBSERVES NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING
Bodi District commemorated the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving on July 1st, 2025, with a solemn event held at the Bodi Anglican Church. The gathering brought together key dignitaries, including the District Chief Executive, Hon. Stephen Baidoo, members of the clergy, the Chief Imam, and Heads of Departments.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Baidoo warmly welcomed the congregation and expressed his appreciation for their presence and commitment to praying for the peace and progress of the nation. He further extended gratitude to the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, for instituting the day, acknowledging it as a significant step toward addressing the spiritual well-being of the country. He encouraged the congregation to make praying for the nation a regular practice, stressing that the progress of individuals is closely tied to the success of the country.
Speaking on the theme for the year, “Reflect, Reset and Renew for National Prosperity,” Venerable Richard Andoh commended the government for recognizing the importance of the nation’s spiritual wellbeing. He urged all citizens to continually seek the good of the nation and thanked God for the enduring peace and stability Ghana has enjoyed. He also cautioned the congregation never to take the country's peace for granted or exchange it for anything.
In his sermon, the District Chief Imam of Bodi, Alhaji Mohammed Shuaib, echoed the need for continued peace and hard work. He urged the congregation to remain committed to maintaining national harmony and encouraged both Christian and Muslim communities to live together peacefully for the collective good of the country.
