The District Chief Executive is the political and administrative head of the District Assembly. His responsibilities and duties are enshrined in the Constitution of Ghana. Some of the responsibilities are: to preside at meetings of the Executive Committee of the Assembly; be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the executive and administrative functions of the District Assembly.
